The Three Peaks of Lavaredo (Tre Cime di Lavaredo) are one of the most iconic natural landmarks in the Dolomite Alps in northeastern Italy.

These three magnificent rock towers, soaring up to 2,999 meters, captivate tourists, photographers, and climbers from around the globe. Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes of emerald meadows, high-altitude trails, and boundless horizons, they offer visitors the chance to hike, marvel at sunsets reflecting off the cliffs, and fully embrace the awe-inspiring grandeur of nature.

The Three Peaks of Lavaredo played a pivotal role during World War I, serving as the site of intense battles between the Italian and Austro-Hungarian armies. These mountainous regions were of great strategic importance, with soldiers enduring harsh climatic conditions while fighting at extreme altitudes.

Remnants of military fortifications, tunnels, and bunkers remain as poignant reminders of those tragic events. Today, they form part of historical hiking routes, allowing travelers to connect with history and pay tribute to those who fought in these rugged mountains.
