Route Description

This circular hiking route starts in the very heart of Torri del Benaco, a charming town on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. The starting point is the historic center, where narrow streets and ancient buildings immerse you in a medieval atmosphere.

After a short walk through the old town, we leave the village and head toward the Crero Path, an ancient pilgrimage trail leading through areas rich in natural and historical interest.

The Crero Path crosses a variety of landscapes: olive groves, rocky sections, and picturesque hamlets, each with its own character and charm.

As we continue, you will notice traces of the last glaciation — the so-called “stone whales”, large rock formations smoothed by ancient glaciers, which shape a unique landscape and recall the powerful natural processes that formed this land.

One of the highlights of the route is the crossing of the “Tibetan bridge”, suspended over a scenic valley. This gently swaying suspension bridge offers thrilling panoramic views of Lake Garda and the surrounding mountains

Throughout the Crero Path, you are constantly accompanied by stunning views of Lake Garda shimmering below and the mountain ridges rising all around. Every bend in the trail reveals new perspectives, making this route especially attractive for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts.

The hike ends with a return to Torri del Benaco, where you can relax and enjoy local cuisine in one of the many cafés or restaurants along the lakeside promenade, and—during the warmer months—take a refreshing swim in Lake Garda.
