Route Description:
This trail mostly follows an ancient irrigation canal, making it especially suitable for family-friendly walks.
We begin with a gentle ascent, which leads to a breathtaking panoramic view of Merano and its surroundings, including vineyards and gardens. The trail then reaches the area above Marlengo, where several spots along the path are perfect for resting and enjoying a snack.
As Merano stays behind us, rooftops of the town come into view along with the entrance to the Passeier Valley and its snow-capped peaks. The route continues through vineyards toward Cermes, dominated by the impressive Monte Leone Castle.

Next, we reach the town of Lana and descend into the village. This final section of the route delights us once again with stunning views of the Adige Valley. From here, we take a bus (or transfer) back to the starting point.
The total length of the route is 11 kilometers with an elevation gain of 200 meters, offering the perfect balance of moderate effort and breathtaking scenery.
